Hey Kix,

I’m a military wife and I wanna tell you the story of my husband following his dream.  We were high school sweethearts and have been married for thirteen years now.  We both went to college then got married and worked and bought a house and had kids and the whole nine yards.  My husband, however, always had the dream of being a soldier.  I never tried to stop him but I know he was holding back because of me and the kids.  Finally, a few years ago, he came home from work and was just beside himself with frustration.  He had a good job but he didn’t like it.  He still yearned to join the Army.  So I sat him down and told him right then and there…do it.  And do it now.  I told him that I would be with him no matter what and that I refused to watch him live a life of regret.
 
I guess that was all he needed to make a move!  He joined the Army right away…went to basic training and is now on his second tour – this time in Afghanistan.  He shipped out last month and yes, it was difficult to let him go, but I know he’s now living his dream.  And that’s so important!  If there’s anybody listening who knows what they wanna do but just can’t seem to pull the trigger, I want them to know that no matter what happens, I will never regret encouraging my husband to go for it!  Now, if everyone can just say a prayer for his and all his comrades safe return.
