Live Like You Were Dying

Hey Kix,
I listen to your "Live Like You Were Dying" segment every Sunday on my way to church. I would like to share a real "live like you were dying" story about my husband. He was diagnosed in his early 40's with a rare and terminal illness which he fought valiantly for over 10 years. He wouldn't let his illness win and continued to live life with a vengeance. He played his guitar, was a dirt track stock car builder and driver. He always placed in the top 5 in his division by the way and when the doctor told him the stock car racing was too dangerous he built and raced a drag car! He built high performance engines for high school kids so that they could race. His payment would be a 12 pack of coke because he knew that the kids didn't have any money. Our first granddaughter was born in 1996 and she was the light of his life. He bought her a toy guitar as soon as she was barely walking and they would play and laugh together. He passed away in April of 2001. He was barely 55 years old but I can truly say he lived life to the fullest each and everyday and was a true hero to all that knew him.
P.S. I still have his 1960 Fender Strat guitar in it's original case. His dad bought it for him new in 1960. It's been tucked away in a closet since his passing. Do you know of anyone that I could get in contact with to offer the guitar for sale. I know that my husband would want someone to be playing it as opposed to me just keeping it and I've finally gotten to the point where I feel that I can do that, I just don't know where to begin. If you have any suggestions or ideas I would greatly appreciate them. Thank you!
Signed,
Edie
